FOR
THURSDAY, JUNE 27
CROUCH TO HOST
ROUNDTABLE “EDUCATION SUMMIT
Among topics to be discussed
will be state testing
            Assemblyman Clifford W. Crouch
(R-Guilford) announced that he will be hosting a roundtable Education
Summit on Thursday, June 27 at the Chenango
 Valley High
  School New York ’s
classrooms and our children’s education. Crouch said that topics to cover will
include, but are not limited to, Annual Professional Performance Reviews (APPR),
Common Core, state testing, and how unfunded mandates take the focus off of
educating our youth.
“The education of our children has
always been an important issue for me,” said Crouch. “My office is always
in regular contact with school administration officials, school boards,
teachers and parents, but we do not always have an opportunity to have an open
discussion from those who are directly impacting the education of our children,
which is our teachers. I hope this
Education Summit will accomplish bringing parents, teachers and
administrators together from across the 122nd Assembly District to have
an open discussion about how decisions that are being made in Albany affect the education of children
classrooms. I think this will be a great forum, where our parents get to hear
from teachers, education officials and vice versa. It is also a good way to raise
questions and offer suggestions on how Albany
can better represent and serve our schools and their teachers.”
